File transfer via the Lindic chat service is peer-to-peer only between users’ devices. The chat server only relays connection signals and does not store file contents.
Every user who sends files (the sender) bears sole responsibility for the content, lawfulness and permissibility of the files sent. The sender must ensure they are entitled to share them and do not infringe third-party rights (including copyright, personality and trademark rights).
The sender may be held liable for unlawful, harmful or impermissible content. Lindic / the operator of services.lindic.net does not review file contents and, to the extent permitted by law, accepts no liability for damage caused by files sent by users.
In particular, content that violates applicable law, malware, fraud, harassment, or breaches of youth-protection or data-protection rules is prohibited.
Receiving files usually requires explicit acceptance. Recipients should not execute unknown files and should only accept transfers from trusted sources.
By confirming in the chat client, the sender declares that they have read and accept these terms and the related privacy notice for file transfer. Without this consent, file transfer is not possible.
