In P2P file transfer, file bytes are not routed through or stored on the services.lindic.net chat server. Only signalling data (e.g. offer, accept, WebRTC signals) needed to establish the connection is transmitted.
Because file contents flow directly between devices, the sender is responsible under privacy and civil law for the content sent toward the recipient and third parties. The sender may be held liable if they send unlawful or impermissible files.
Documented acceptance of the file-transfer terms and privacy notice is stored server-side per application and user for as long as needed to prove consent and enable file sending, or until an erasure request under applicable law.
General information about the chat service is in the project documentation. For privacy questions, contact the operator of the application (PWA) that embeds the chat service.
